- The leafs are placed loosely on each other, out of alignment by about 3 cm, for easy pick-up.
- The recommended gilding size for these leafs is Kolner Aqua Size for gilding on porous surfaces or Permacoll Size. Use if you are gilding on non-porous surfaces.
- When using imitation metal leaf, it is best to wear Gilder’s Gloves to prevent your fingers from leaving moisture on the metal leaf.
- Imitation gold leafs must be protected with varnish to avoid oxidization; use Kolner Leaf Protect.
