Skin glue is made from collagen, a connective tissue derived from animal skin. This adhesive is commonly used as a binder for various materials, including chalk ground, bole, and paper wood glue. It is available in granule form.
To prepare skin glue, mix it with cold water and let it dilate. After maceration, which takes approximately 20 to 60 minutes, the glue should be dissolved in a water bath at around 60°C.
