Noris 22k genuine gold on rolls is the perfect type for line and large-surface gilding. The gold leaf is pressed onto an approximately 21-meter-long tissue paper roll.
24K is used for exterior gilding to prevent oxidation, and varnish is unnecessary when using this gold leaf type. You can gild with any carat for the interior, but gilding with less than 24k or imitation gold leafs must be protected with varnish to avoid oxidation. Use Kolner Leaf Protect.
