Agate is a semi-precious stone made up of various siliceous materials. Each colour of agate is unique and distinct. The burnishers available are suitable for all types of metal leaf that can be applied using the poliment gilding technique. Since the polishing stones are delicate, keeping them away from hard surfaces is advisable to prevent scratches.
The most commonly used burnisher among gilders is #17, which can effectively burnish nearly any gilded surface. Additional shapes and sizes of burnishers are also available for backorder.
