The impregnation agent seals an absorbing surface, forming a film inside the material without building a closed layer at the surface. Such materials are, amongst others, wood, plaster and paper material. The impregnation agent improves the adhesion between the work material and the following primer coat. Therefore, the correct impregnation agent must be used.
Sealer P, significantly improves the adhesive for the KGGG-Fond, enhancing the overall quality and durability of the work.
Sealer P Impregnation agent is a concentrated water-based sealer designed to prepare porous surfaces before applying Kölner Burnishing Clay (KGGG Fond). Dilute Sealer P with tap water in a ratio of 1:0.5 – 1:1.5. Sealer 123 A can also be used as a protective coating.
Sealer 123A, on the other hand, offers a different set of advantages. It provides enhanced adhesion for Kölner KGGG Fond and sprays fond and a lower impregnation depth for extremely absorbing underlayers, such as plaster. This versatility allows for a wide range of applications, including gilding on plaster, stone, and wood.
